Online Stream (May 18th-20th) (CC)
Running time: 35 minutes.
Halifax north ender Todd Matheson tells his stories of being a bartender. Confronting the Restaurant Association of Nova Scotia’s claim that they represent him as part of 33, 000 workers, it’s docu theatre that collides the personal and the political, with the plight of the worker its beating heart.
Chippy, unvarnished, irreverent, and genuine—this immersive performance is at Matheson’s work, Charlie’s Club.
Note: This performance is auto biographical and references addiction and assault.
