Vista20 is a 30-minute app-guided walking tour that can be done anywhere, anytime. You will need a smartphone (or tablet) and a set of headphones. Think of it as a short stroll during which you run into seven interesting people working in public health in Halifax during the COVID-19 crisis. It is an archive of their testimonies from April/May 2020.
The free app includes written transcripts of each interview.

Labour7 is a 40-minute app-guided walking tour that can be done anywhere, anytime. Think of it as a short stroll during which you run into seven interesting people working in Nova Scotia during the COVID-19 crisis. It is also an archive of their testimonies from August 2020 and a companion piece to Vista20.
You need a smartphone and a set of headphones. It is available as a native iOS or Android app, and is also available as a web-based app through your phone’s web browser.
The free app will guide you through the steps required to set forth on your journey. You can do each step at your own pace and can always reset to the start if you wish. The app includes written transcripts of each interview.

Walking Gottingen is an immersive storytelling experience of family and community, using storytelling, natural sound, and diverse voices to transport listeners through a portal of lived experiences in the neighbourhood.
Listeners will be guided to certain landmarks and institutions as they walk down Gottingen Street in North End Halifax, all the while hearing the voices of the people who truly made the neighbourhood what it is today.
But the neighbourhood is changing. Walking Gottingen aims to preserve the community’s legacy in its current incarnation as it confronts gentrification and displacement. It works to educate residents, old and new, of the street’s profound history while challenging anti-black racism, xenophobia, and postcolonial sentiments in the same stride.
