Physical Accessibility

Altération plays at 2164 Barrington Street (Breaking Circus’ venue), which is a fully physically accessible performance venue.

The production can wheeled or power chair seats.

There is a small lip to the entrance doors to the space (please see pictures below).
If needed, a wheelchair ramp is available to cross this lip.

Washrooms are gender neutral, and include one fully accessible washroom and sink.

**Please let us know in advance if you are a wheelchair or powerchair user and will be attending the show. There is very limited parking available in front of the building, and with enough notice we can reserve up to four parking spots for easy accessible parking to the venue.**

**Importantly – Due to the close nature and unique layout of the performance, we will not be able to admit latecomers to the show. So please study the maps below closely to navigate any possible traffic interruptions ahead of time.
If you are running late or unable to make a performance, please email us at info@mayworkskjipuktukhfx.ca or text 902-223-8341. We will happily switch your tickets free of charge to the other performance, if possible. But once the show begins, the house is closed.**

Nearby Parking, Transit and Maps

Due to the massive construction project on the Cogswell exchange, parking and transit to the space can be particularly challenging. Parking is most available on Brunswick Street. There are two paid lots nearby – pictured below – as well as occasional street parking along Brunswick.

From Brunswick, walk to Nora Bernard Street, and then down to Barrington Street. Walk along Barrington until you reach 2164. You will see a large building with two sets of red double-doors! A ‘Breaking Circus’ logo will let you know you’ve found the right place.

Bus routes in the area are currently re-routed to accommodate the construction project. Please refer to the Halifax Transit website for assistance in finding nearby bus stops.
