Caring labour — for children, elders, families — is commonly undervalued in comparison to paid work. Please join us for an alternative Mother’s Day event that questions what “work” can be in a post-work society and offers space to consider new ways of being a mother, a parent, and a caregiver in today’s world.
The Feminist Economics Department (the FED) is excited to co-create a space for a feminist discussion of motherhood with the Halifax Motherhood Collective. This event will be the culmination of a one-week post-workist yoga offering at the Art Bar at NSCAD.
Join us for beverages, snacks, childcare, discussion, and yoga
10-11am kundalini-based yoga for feminists & mothers
11-noon discussion and event planning: re-envisioning public spaces to meet the needs of children and their families
A child-care space will be provided.
